Goodbye Oreo
We had a nice Christmas, but sadly my daughter's guinea pig died on Christmas day. Oreo was six years old and we knew it was coming, but it's never easy. She was the last of our little herd. She was the sweetest, friendliest guinea pig I've ever seen and she was greatly loved. Her cage took up a whole wall in the library where the computer is and the room seems big and empty without her now.

— Helen Keller
Love deeply my friends.

It is never easy to lose a member of the family, even when they have four legs. I still miss a cat we had to say goodbye to in 1999. Sounds like Oreo was a very loved guinea pig. He certainly was handsome.

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry about the loss of your precious pet. That is never an easy thing.
So glad that you are taking time to be with the family. Pass around lots of hugs and enjoy your special holiday celebrations.
Oh we had Romeo - till he was five and then suddenly passed. A member of the family to be sure. And lost our cat the day after thanksgiving - surprisingly. I always think how my life has been better because o these loved critters - even when it hurts. Thinking of you and how lucky you were to have Oreo share his life with you.
I am so sorry. The loss of a pet is so hard. My best to you.
Oh, Janet! I'm so sorry for your loss! My best to you and your family.
Thank you all for your kind and heartfelt words, I appreciate them. Pets really are family members and it is never easy to lose them no matter how small they may be. Claudia is right, and that's what we try to remember; that we were lucky to have Oreo share her life with us. Thanks everyone.
