Five years was all I could handle before I had to leave. It was such a &quot;heavy&quot; environment. They are very special people and it&#39;s a difficult job losing so many children that you become attached to. Working for a chronic children&#39;s hospital for 5 years I saw far too many children suffer. It is so difficult to see children loss their innocence due to chronic disease. Every child that expired was morned by the all of the hospital employees. Most of the kids were with us for years so they were far more than patients.<br /><br />Great advice to be thankful and loving everyday. It is something we do in our house as well.
